Tomintoul Boil Water Notice Lifted
Following advice from NHS Grampian Health Board, Scottish Water issued a notice to residents of Tomintoul that they should boil their water after the Cryptosporidium protozoa was detected in the supply on 21 July 2009. Following clear samples, the boil notice was lifted on 26 July and the water is safe to drink and use normally. Work to improve the supply to Tomintoul is underway. DWQR has requested a full report from Scottish Water on the incident and will investigate to ensure that water quality is maintained until this work is complete.
